Band | Soft Rock | Indie | Pop Rock
WEKA is a female-fronted 4-piece band based in Meanjin/Brisbane. WEKA debuted to a huge crowd of 50+ friends with an industry-standard set up of sound, lighting and stage at the member’s share house. WEKA’s identity lies in their uniquely styled guitar sound as they continue to build and create on with a nature-esc aesthetic as the name WEKA comes from the New Zealand Māori hen.

WEKA’s music genre the members enjoy exploring and expanding possibilities on is Soft Rock with a RnB and Pop melodic and lyrical influence. With frequent visits into numerous studios around Brisbane, WEKA intends to start releasing their music in the second half of 2026. Performing their first public gig at Ric's Backyard in Fortitude Valley, then later at the Vena Cava Freshblood Closing Party; WEKA strives to be known for their distinct and one-of-a-kind sound, professionalism, creativity and profound lyricism where listeners can relate to their music in any way.
