THE NEXT ADDITION TO YOUR INDIE-ROCK BANGERS PLAYLIST

Written by Angela Davis

Straight outta Brisbane’s QUT, Foxymoron have been shredding it up in the local indie-rock scene. They bring some infectious tunes clearly influenced by indie royalty (see: Franz Ferdinand, The Strokes and Custard) but with a dash of youthful Aussie wit and charm seen in their live shows and previous single, Thought Criminal.

Foxymoron’s latest release, Signal Flare, gives us a little more insight into who the boys behind the track are and also a taste for what’s to come from their upcoming EP.

“Signal Flare was originally written as a sarcastic response to a uni assessment task. I realised the song had potential so I completely reconstructed it into something new. In a nutshell, the song is poking fun towards people who feel that they need to know everything well in advance.” – Jason Overton, Lead Singer and Guitarist

Signal Flare is being launched @ Heya Bar on September 14th
