Brisbane’s Elsewhere is a female fronted 5-piece, fusing alternative rock with R&B, soul, funk and dance. The band formed at university, connecting over their shared obsession with groove. Each member’s unique style creates an inimitable blend of sound that makes up Elsewhere. Their sound pulls from influences like Fontaines D.C., Anderson .Paak, Khruangbin, Amy Winehouse and Erykah Badu creating a blend of high-energy intensity, colourful melodies and introspective lyricism.
Their first backyard gig was a packed-out success, setting the tone for a performance style that’s raw, exciting and passionate. Their live set has earnt them consistent praise for their tight musicianship, infectious energy, and standout vocal performances.
