BIOGRAPHY

Samuel Rety, known more commonly by the moniker Samichoux, is a songwriter and instrumentalist dedicated to creating nostalgic music that sparks the listener’s imagination. Based in Queensland, Australia, Sami has been an active participant in the grassroots music scenes – live and in studio. Influenced by artists such as Tatsuro Yamashita, Stevie Wonder, and Sting. Sami aims to blend old-school songwriting and musicianship with his unique productions.

As a past student at the Queensland University of Technology and currently one of the Vermilion Records 2024 artists, he has become a sought-after bassist for studio sessions, contributing to several Vermilion Records tracks and becoming a key member of Dublin Rose’s band. Known for his tight groove, eclectic influences, and musicality, Sami has quickly earned a reputation as a skilled instrumentalist and vocalist.

Sami is joined onstage by his groovy band consisting of Harper Wren on keys and backing vocals, Jack Lestone on bass, and Patrick McClement on percussion. Samichoux is aspiring for more live performances around Brisbane and the surrounding areas, looking to tour the east coast of Australia in the neat future, and hopefully to tour around the world one day.

Sami has a bright future in the Brisbane music scene with aspiration’s to record more original music and tour throughout Australia with the Samichoux band.
